I'm Jessica, a photographer from Sweden with a soft spot for new places, warm light, the ocean and noticing the little things.

Photography has been part of my life for a long time. I started taking photos when I was around twelve, and at fourteen I saved up for my first proper camera — a Nikon D90.

And I photographed everything. I even studied photography in high school, but somewhere along the way, the camera started spending more time in a drawer. Life happened. University, moving, my first jobs and all the other things that slowly fill up your time. Photography never really disappeared, but for a few years, it wasn't a big part of my life anymore.

Then, while packing for a backpacking trip, I found my old Nikon in one of my boxes. For some reason, I decided to bring it. It was heavy, took up far too much space in my backpack and was definitely not the most practical thing to carry around.

Best decision I made.

Somewhere along the way, I remembered why I had loved photography so much in the first place. I started noticing things again — light, colors, people, small details, ordinary moments and the feeling of arriving somewhere I had never been before.

And I haven't really stopped since.

The Nikon D90 still comes with me today. It's old, a little worn and far from the newest equipment out there, but I like it that way. After all these years, it has become part of how I photograph and, in a way, part of the story itself.

I'm not particularly interested in creating technically perfect images or having the most expensive gear. I'm much more interested in photographs that make you feel something. The kind that bring you back to a place, make you curious about somewhere you've never been, or capture a moment exactly as you remember it.
